Rahul & Gayathri

A love story that quietly refused to take no for an answer.

Two families, two sets of customs, one very long day of getting everyone in the same room at the same time. Rahul and Gayathri wanted both ceremonies honoured properly rather than trimmed to fit a schedule, and that is exactly how it ran.

We photographed the morning rituals in low light with almost no interference, then followed the couple out into the afternoon for portraits while the families ate. The best frames of the day came from the half hour nobody planned.
